Abby's journey with Adoption Network Cleveland began as an intern in June 2023, where her dedication and passion for supporting adoptive, foster, and kinship families shone through in every task. With the unexpected expansion of our Family Resilience Fund, the perfect opportunity arose to expand our team. Abby seamlessly transitioned into the Family Support Coordinator role in January 2024, taking on responsibilities such as administering the Family Resilience Fund, supporting family programming, providing telephone support, and assisting with outreach efforts for the organization.
Drawing from her personal journey as an international adoptee, Abby has a passion for assisting fellow adoptees. Her background includes experience in case management for youth within the foster care system. Abby is currently enrolled in a Master of Social Work Program at Cleveland State and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Akron.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Abby pursued a career as a professional dancer before making a significant transition into social work during the pandemic. Residing in the Cleveland area with her husband, she shares her home with a beloved assortment of pets, affectionately referred to as her “zoo,” which includes a Golden Retriever, a Shih-Poo, and two bunnies. In her free time, Abby cherishes moments spent playing with her pets and reveling in her role as a dedicated “dog mom.”
Abby’s passion for helping kinship, foster, and adoptive families, dedication to advocacy, and commitment to helping families flourish make her a valuable asset to the community which Adoption Network Cleveland serves.
