Four Adoption Network Cleveland Board of Directors completed their terms of service and retired from the board, including Molly Cissell, Daniel Gisser, Julie Lady, and Carlin Culbertson. All four were honored for their service at the 2023 Annual Meeting in November.
Molly Cissell
Molly joined the board in 2014 and has been a dedicated board member for 9 years. She first served as chair of the Public Policy Committee and then as chair of the Program Committee. Molly has made a huge contribution to Adoption Network Cleveland through her work and dedication.
Daniel Gisser
Dan joined the board in 2012. Eleven years ago, Dan stepped up and championed this organization. As Board Chair, Dan fostered an open table where all were seen and heard, which, given his tenure included 2020 is a special feat! Whether serving or leading the board or serving or leading a committee, Dan led by example. He quietly gave of his time, talent, and treasure, propelling Adoption Network Cleveland forward for almost 1/3 of its existence. We will miss Dan’s infectious laughter at events and meetings. Yet we know Dan drew purpose on our board from his role as an adoptive father. Dan will continue to serve on the Program Committee.
Julie Lady
Julie joined the board in 2020, is Chair of the Public Policy Committee, and is a hands-on support for our Lobby Day work. Julie has been an integral team member to Adoption Network Cleveland’s advocacy success. While stepping away from the board, Julie will continue serving the public policy committee with her passion and talents.
Carlin Culbertson
Carlin joined the board in 2017. He is our outgoing Board Chair, a member of the Finance Committee, and is passionate about our work. He knows firsthand the impact of adoption both prior to and including his beloved role as adoptive and foster dad. We are happily humbled that Carlin will remain a strong voice on our finance committee.
Thank you to all of the retiring board members for sharing their time, passion and leadership with Adoption Network Cleveland, and for their continued commitment to the adoption and foster care community.
