Presentation Title: Managing Identity

Bio: Melissa & Oliver Leembruggen are a multifaceted multicultural dynamic couple that were both born in California, raised on separate coasts, and joined in the deep South. Since joining over 30 years ago, they have raised three equally multifaceted multicultural dynamic children. Melissa is a communication lecturer at a local college and a Teaching Leader for Bible Study Fellowship International. Oliver is currently a Lead Test Engineer for the Air Force, a co-facilitator for Adoption Network Cleveland, and an organizer for TEDxDayton. Over the past six years they have delved deeper into Oliver’s adoptee journey after a surprising DNA discovery. They are excited to share a part of that journey and how communication theories helped to view it in a unique light.
