Bio: Leslie Pate Mackinnon is a therapist and trainer who specializes in issues that impact families conceived through adoption and third-party reproduction. For three decades she’s been sharing her expertise on these topics at conferences and events across the country and around the world. She was drawn to the field by placing her two firstborn sons for adoption when she was a teenager. She’s been featured on Good Morning America, CNN, Dan Rather Reports and The Katie Couric Show. Leslie is featured in a book The Girls Who Went Away, and a documentary A Girl Like Her. She served as the psychiatric consultant and assisted in the reunions of participants on the television program Long Lost Family.
